Flotation Suit Sizing

One piece and two piece flotation suits are sized on the same basis - i.e. if you would wear a size large in one, you'd usually wear a size large in the other. For people who have tried a one piece suit and found that the suit is excessively tight on the back then a two piece suit sized the same will often address this issue.
Flotation Suit Size Recommended Weight Band Height Ranges
Small 8½- 10 Stone (53kg to 63kg) 5ft 2" to 5ft 6"
Medium 10 - 12 Stone (63kg to 76kg) 5ft 5" to 5ft 10"
Large 12 - 15 Stone (76kg to 95kg) 5ft 8" to 6ft 1"
Extra Large 15 - 19 Stone (95kg to 120kg) 5ft 10" to 6ft 4"
XX Large 19 - 24 Stone (120kg plus) 6ft 2" to 6ft 6"
  1. Please note that the above sizing is a guide only. In the event you need to exchange your size we charge a standard fee of 10+VAT to cover the collection of the wrong suit and the return of the replacement.
  2. We can only exchange suits that are still in a re-saleable condition i.e. unused for fishing! Any suit returned dirty or damaged will be returned to the customer.
  3. Two piece suits are manufactured to the same standards as one piece suits but are typically not ISO approved (they are EN393 approved). ISO regulations state that an immersion suit has to be foolproof, and the two-piece concept lends itself to people removing their jacket in warm weather. Therefore these suits typically don't achieve ISO certification even though for all practical purposes they will keep you alive just as long in the water (if worn properly).
