Floatation suits do not usually require any special maintenance, however, if worn very frequently and throughout fairly extreme weather, ALL floatation suits can start to lose their waterproof properties usually due to slight movement in the seams. This doesn't affect the Fladen range as badly as some, due to the high quality construction and reliable double stitched seams, BUT, we do get the very occasional enquiry for this from floatation suit users (fladen and other manufacturers).
This spray is recommended by Fladen for their entire floatation range. It is a high quality silicon based water-proofing agent, that will rapidly ensure your suit becomes watertight once more! Suits will generally not need waterproofing for the first time until they are 12 to 24 months old (depending on use), and we'd recommend annual water-proofing from then onwards (as a sensible precaution as opposed to necessity).
Note: If you are using any manufacturers suit which is letting in water please realise this could impair the performance of the suit if it is ever needed.
